: I may just be speaking for myself here, but whenever i hear a response from "retardo" here, I get the feeling he's been diagnosed with a disorder -- most likely manic/depressive and when manic (e.g. when he decides to jump online and thrash someone) he has aggressive/narcissistic tendencies which are observed in his sarcastic means in addition to his plethora of knowledge about things only strange sub-cultures are familiar with. Sorry, Mr. Retard Gates, that we weren't aware of what you knew. Whoops! Missed your dose of Paxil I presume. But seriously dude, lighten up on the cocky attitude and tell us a good Indigo story or two.

: Virus scanners are mostly useless, in the case of
: : newly emerged viruses. If your virus scanner has not been updated to recognize a certain virus, it wont, well, recognize a new one!
: : you could use a feature like the one norton antivirus has, in which it remains active 24/7 constantly monitoring your system for virus 'like' activity, but this can be a huge drag on your system resources.
: : now, i assume that most of us here, especially the ones that are prone to viral infections, use either microsoft outlook or outlook express.
: : the ultimate way to prevent viruses from infecting your system is to go to microsoft.com's windows update site. when you go here, it will make a quick scan of your system and tell you which files you need to download to become completely up-to-date.
: : oh, and for those quasi pirates out there, dont worry if you are running a bootleg copy of office or windows. they cannot tell if you are doing so.
: : you may have to download, install, reboot and then go back to the website a few times to get all the updates, but in the end, your system will be much more secure.
: : the one real downside to this is that you will no longer be able to have executable files sent to you. whenever outlook receives any file that might possibly even contain a virus, it elminates that file entirely.
: : try to keep in mind that this will work only for outlook and outlook express, for emails containing viruses. if you read your mail through a web browser, this will not prevent anything.
: : it's a good idea to do anyways, to keep your system more secure and running efficiently.

: : : Hi again, everyone. Whew, what a bad virus. It deleted some files that destroyed the hard drive. I finally bought a new computer. I lost all of my data. I think I have a suggestion. I am not opening some mail which appears as though it may contain a virus. I think that if we send mail to one another which does contain an attachment, we should carefully title the mail so that it will be clear it is real. The virus does not seem to have the smarts to write really good titles. Anyway, good luck to everyone. This was a costly experience.
: : : And Carl, I am happy you like your new female.
: : : robert seib
I would appreciate it very much.
As for Retard Boy, I dont know. You can make the call,I am not fit to judge.
