comments Carl. (Sorry I've been away, and now am able to respond)
I still find the photo "cool", amazing and interesting. I have never seen a photo of an Indigo eating another snake, let alone the fact it was a king, and still find the photo extremely interesting. No one's comments, or ill placed rebuke will sway my mind.
If you noticed, I asked what the circumstances were behind the picture - I had a friend who's adult Indigo stopped eating and the only way he got the animal to start eating again was to feed it live snakes (including kings). I thought this may have been a similar circumstance. Either way, I would not condemn the individual even if it were not the case, and was intentional. It's the same arguement a rat keeper or mouse keeper gives to us regarding feeding rodents to our animals. Would I do it just for fun, no, because I do like kings, but would I do it if any of my Indigos would accept only other snakes for some reason, in a heart beat.
I love kingsnakes, but have owned other completely ophiophagous snakes and because of it have had to feed live snakes to animals before, so there was no shock involved in seeing one snake eat another. I guess those who have responded have not kept similar animals.
