I wouldn't be so sure, Keith. As someone who has taken bites from both Indigos and large individuals of Lampropeltis, Pituophis, and Elaphe, I can say that the amount of tissue damage Drymarchon can do with a bite is magnitudes greater than any other colubrid I am familiar with. I have seen them bite adult gerbils in half. I can show you my own scars. My guess is that Drymarchon can exsanguinate any of its contemporaries.
: Of course just for fun . My thoughts are that a 7 foot Carpet is just another mouse eater. In Getula we are talking snakes that know how to eat snakes that are larger and faster. It would be a tough match but if you matched a King and an indigo of the same size you would see the King giving your Indigo the grand tour of his digestive system.
