I probably shouldnt respond to you, but what the heck. You obviously are trying to bait me, which is kind of funny since you hold my opinion in such low regard.
Just a few points. You say that this forum is 'our forum'. Am I no longer allowed to post here, because I've been pretty regular since 2000?
--Our natural curiosity that has allowed the human race to excel?--
I dont know how to react to this one. It's so utterly arrogant, it goes beyond being laughable!
Humans might or might not be thriving, but very little else is. Interestingly enough, if it werent for us humans, your beloved indigos (i love them too, but it's not my forum anymore) would be thriving, instead of being threatened with exctinction (in the not too distant future, at least in the wild).
And of course, even you realize that hundreds of thousands of other species have been severely impacted, mostly to their detriment, because of our arrogance and beliefs that we can do just as we please, with no long term effects.
Time to go now, I think I hear a classic Hee-Haw episode coming on.
: Take a deep breath my friend, your personal values matter not a whit to me, but I take offense @ you trying to stifle experimentation here on OUR forum. It is our natural curiosity that allows humans to excel. So.....stuff your sick comments in to your dull orifices & next time you feed a mouse or eat a chicken or defecate a million marvelous bacteria...consider who the hell are you to so affect their lives....lives equal to yours & mine, right?
: The number of herp enthusiasts who subscribe to various portions of the animal rights assinity astounds me.
: : how can anyone here think that that picture is cool, or sweet, or anything else other than sick?
: : i realize in the wild what will happen when a much bigger snake like that indigo takes on a small snake like that king, but this was in captivity.
: : it turns out it was a mistake, but you people all thought it was intentional AND cool! what would be the purpose of feeding a pet kingsnake to an indigo, except to indulge some sick need to prove some sort of superiority of your beloved pet?
: : it is kind of like fighting roosters, or dogs, but worse, due to the size differential between these two snakes.
: : how would all you people feel if someone posted a picture of an adult king taking on a much smaller indigo? i'm sure none of us would think it's cool or sweet or awesome! is there any doubt what the outcome would be?
: : man, i outgrew thinking it was really cool feeding my kingsnakes (caught locally) lizards that i caught from around the neighborhood, back when i was still a kid.
: :
:
: : : I can't believe someone you are stupid enough to do that. Don't you care for your animals at all? Besides, look at the size difference. No wonder the Indigo won. If they were the same size the kingsnake would win. DON"T TRY IT.
