: Fred,
: Thanks for the info. Since as of now Romeo is my only Indigo and I will only be getting one cage I won't have to worry about stacking them.
: I do hope to get a female in the next year or two, but for right now that is just a dream.
: In the Vision cages, is humidity an issue for you. Someone else posted info that the humidity was too high, but for me in this part of CA, keeping the humidity high enough is a struggle.
: Currently I have a 40 watt red heat bulb and a full-spectrum flor. light on him. Do the Vision cages allow for use of these items?
: Thanks again for your input!

Melanie,
There are so many different opinion on proper cageing. Vision cages work EXTREMELY WELL for Drymarchon. As you may have noticed Drymarchon require that inreased level of humidity to facilitate their shedding. If not enough humidity is provided, you have bad sheds or eyecaps that don't shed properly. So Vision cages are an obvious choice. You can mount the flouresvent light set inside, thus enabling you to utilize a broad spectrum UVA/UVB bulb if you should choose to do this. Small reflectors fit right into the injection molded reflector depressioin. I too live in Southern Calif.(IS it winter yet?) and I rarely have to MUCH humidity available to me naturally. Let's face it this place is a barren scrub desert , I personally don't know what the Spaniards who came here saw in it, but.. So humidity is neccessary for their well being. Like I said everyne has their own personal favorite way of maintaining these snakes. I know other Indigo breeders who utilize both melamine and Vision cages. But for my (Limited) money the Vision cages work the best. They also make a 6 ft cage. Once again,I hop I helped you.
FRED
