Big J has a good point about thickness.
I've heard the asian ratsnakes, like taiwan beauty snakes can get up to 9 feet long, but they are relatively slender.
Anyone know how a beauty snake compares with a spilotes of same length, thickness-wise?
What about black milksnakes, are they considered large colubrids? They can get over 7 feet, but I don't know if they get as girthy as drymarchon, and I'm pretty sure they don't.
