Although their winter activity varys from them nothern parts of their range (S. GA) to the southern (south FL), generally, Eastern indigos are at least somewhat active year-round.
Easterns actually breed in the winter in Florida, and have been know to be out basking in temps as low as 50 deg. if the sun is out.
I do not have access to info. on TX indigo winter activity, but I would guess it mimics that of the easterns.
