: Nicole,

: The snake you have is almost assuredly NOT an eastern indigo. The faint white lines dont mesh well with the color of eastern indigos on their belly, which is jet black, with some white or red on the chin which bleeds down into the belly region. Eastern Indigos rarely make it to pet shops, as they are rare and hard to find. When shop owners get them, you can bet they know it, and want to sel them for the MAXIMUM amount of cash they can get. I have enclosed a pic of one of my eastern indigos, a smaller one, so that you may note the difference in head shape, eyes, coloration etc. This is a red faced baby, but you can still see the diffrence in head shape scales. Also theres a website you can go to to see more pic(www.indigosnakes.com)
: Mexican black kings are often called"Poor mans indigos" as they have the same shiny irridescence that Indigos have. They are neat snakes in their own right, but if you buy one , look for one that has NO white on it.
: Sincerely,
: Fred
