HIGHLY unlikely that it is an indigo. Captive breeders are the only LEGAL source for indigos and considering the high value of indigos, no breeder would mistakenly let go of a critter like that. If it is somehow an indigo mistakenly identified as a black king, I would suspect it to be wild caught. You don't want to mess with an illegally obtained indigo.
You didn't mention the size. Indigos are much bigger than kings.
Not all indigos have the red that the indigo Fred linked has. Many are almost entirely black with just a little white or pink or orange on the chin.
One way for someone who doesn't know the difference right away is to feed it. If it constricts the prey, it's not an indigo.
Go in and feed it. See what it does. Good luck, I hope you found an indigo.
