: IT IS ILLEGAL TO CATCH, HARASS, OR KEEP ONE AS A PET.PERIO!!!!
: It sounds like you may not have known this, so I will go very easy on you, these snakes are a Cites appendix 1 animal, and as such are completely protected by the Federal government, which requires people in certain states to buy a permit to buy one from OUT of their own state. But in Florida it is illegal to own one or catch them, or have one in your posession. I dont think that anybody here would give you the info you need in order to catch one in the wild, and I would be angered if they did. These snakes DONT NEED more overcollection in the wild, that is one of the reasons for the diminished numbers now.You seem to not have knwn this when you submitted this post. I would suggest you go to Indigosnakes.com and check out some of the Cribos, which are very similar and can be purchased for slightly less. But catching them is out for you.
: Sincerely,

***Eastern Indigos as far as I knew, were federally protected by the U.S. government. I never knew that they appeared on cites. Has this recently changed, and if it has could you let me know. Thanks Dwight
