: In most cases, male baldness is caused by the bodies' REACTION to certain testosterone by-products, not to the over-production of testosterone.
Baldness is caused by the presance of Nor-Testosterone.
: In these men, the body accumulates these by-products in the areas that end up going bald, and it causes the death of the follicles.
Nor-testosterone affects the follicles on the top of the head. It doesn't kill the follicles. It does increase the follicles dormant period and the thickness of the hair when it is producing it.
: There is nothing to support the theory that bald men have more testosterone because they "have no release for it" and that is a recidulous notion.
Personal experience was I got more "release" AFTER I shaved what little hair was left on my head, but the hair never grew back...
: I LIKE being bald. Wouldn't go back if I could. ...which I can't so It's probably a good thing (:
I have been given strict orders by my wife, who knew me before the shave and married my after, to NEVER grow it back.
Theories for Baldness:
Evolutionist believe it evolved as a signal that others could see from a distance that an individual was a mature male.
Creationist believe that God only created so many perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair.
