I've been very impressed with Shad's exuberance and ingenuity when feeding. : We got into rodent husbandry quite by accident (Food for 1st snake, a Speckled King that we got in NOV and just started post brumation feeding this week. Just wasn't gonna eat 'til he was good and ready-I digress) Needless to say Shad was a welcome arrival after smelling rodents for so long. : To get to the point, we have observed this snake: : - Drown a mouse in his water bowl. : - Suffocate a mouse hiding under his box by laying on top of the box. : - Beat 'em to death. : - Just plain chase/scare 'em to death. : While I have no great sympathy for the little buggars I think we'll stick to f/t, for Shad's sake if nothing else. : Not shaving my head just yet..... : Jeff
