Trip report and question

Just got back from Houston...I forgot how great the zoo was there..Haven't lived there in over 30 yrs..Their reptile house is fabulous and always has been... I got some super pics of animals most of us only dream about...They even had an Eastern Guardian on display!! Stipulated it was captive born and endangered!!
Now the ?? Know how all of us are paranoid about keeping our animals all in separate cages, except when breeding...Why don't zoo's??? Houston must have had half of their exhibits with multiple herps in them...Different species, genera, the whole bit...Saw cages with a pair of Mex beaded lizards and 2 or 3 Gila's..A cage with a big Green Mamba and 2 of the biggest black Mambas I've ever seen..One cage with a Wegeners' viper, SE Asian Vine snake and a coral snake of a variety I've never seen...The list goes on...Any thoughts??
