They are not related to Drymarchon. I know of no body that breeds them. I kept a couple back in the mid/late seventies. One wild caught which died and one baby that I raised to about 7 1/2ft. They are a very interesting animal. Very powerful and they love to eat snakes. The captive raised baby started eating mice on its own without any work which leads me to believe that they might include rodents in their diet more often than is thought. Nowadays they are next to impossible to get plus they are a cities animal. Best of luck in your search! Google has a picture of a Mussarana eating another snake.
