They aren't related to indigos. They like to eat cribos, until the cribos get so big that they eat the mussaranas.
They are CITES I listed. So getting one might be REALLY tough.
They are venomous but rumor has it the bite isn't too bad even though the venom is also rumored to be pretty potent. Generally a mellow snake. Take that for what it's worth.
For some reason, us Drymarchon fans have a fascination with mussaranas too. Must be because they are big-bad-a$$ colubrids.
