While @ this pt. I've merely harvested your piece for my drymarchon cyber-archive, & thus unable to comment, I'm just delighted to see once again this forum functioning in tandem w/ professional print journals. May we presume your piece can be archived @ indigo.com?
What curious minds really want [need!] to know though....is how often you encountered mussuranas in the field; perhaps expressed as an approximate % of your pooled drymarchon encounters!

: Together with two Venezuelan colleagues, I recently had the privilege of describing Drymarchon caudomaculatus, a new species of Drymarchon from Venezuela. This also involved some reclassification of the other Drymarchon taxa, with the result that I am now recognising 5 full species in the genus.
: The paper appeared in the Herpetological Journal, a UK-based publication. Since this is probably not all that widely available, I have uploaded a summary of the paper onto a web page, the URL is given below.
