Permit wait, stress management...

Hi everyone. I picked up a male eastern from Dean A. last fall (we're both Ohioans, so no permits needed). Naturally, I fell in love with it and had to get a female (or two, and another male...you know how it is).

So now I'm playing the "waiting for my permit" game. I was doing OK even though the wait is killing me mostly because it is still pretty much winter in Ohio (well, it's 50 today but never got out of the teens on Monday...March madness redefined). Now the seller is pressuring me because the snakes have grown and he can get more for them than we agreed upon and I feel like I'm going to be sick.

He wants me to contact Victoria Davis and see what is up with the permit, but I can't get through to her. I hate to leave any more messages and sound like a stalker, but I don't want to lose these snakes...

I guess that's a long story to ask, does she return messages on her answering machine? Is she a one woman office? If she's on the phone all day can she be getting any work done?

Any words of wisdom or Xanax would be deeply appreciated, but mostly I had to vent to someone who cares. It is hard to explain to the folks at work that you are edgy because your federal snake permits haven't arrived yet.
