Interesting that Dwight, the lucky man got his hands on one...I'd sure like to hear more about maintaing them in captivity Dwight....
I've advertised for Clelia for several years but never located so much as an owner, never mind the real thing legally available. I offered Glades a 500. to import/middleman a trio I'd located w/ a fellow in Uruguay (who maintains Clelia on mice...)...but they wouldn't do it.??
Apparently they are listed Cites II.... despite having a range from the Yucatan to friggn Argentina!
One day, I still hope to get an email out of the blue...
cheers, jg
: Fred is right. I have kept Mussaranna and they are totally geared to consuming other snakes. They grow to a large size and are incredibly strong, like a steel band, and fast. Add to that they are rearfanged and you have quite a adversary. These snakes would have no problem subduing the largest drymarchon or lampropeltis given that sizes were relatively equal.
