Hi Dean,
The animals left hear have not slowed down in their feeding. The average temp. is mid 60's at night and low 80's during the day. Red throat female wil consume about 4-6 mice during ten days. I have tried squid on the adults just for the fun of it. They loved it but, I did not like what came out the back end! Whew! I will stick to rodents. As far as water dishes go, In my experience this seems to happen more by accident than design. By the way, I have four gravid females at this point. Two of the females have been bred by the redthroat 7 1/2 ft. monster so it will be interesting to see what comes out of that! Next few weeks will determine slugs or eggs. I have my fingers crossed and re crossed. Nothing on the Yellow Tails yet, but who knows.
