Species whose males have many mates tend to be much larger than the females of said species. It isn't much of a stretch to think that this may apply to indigos too.

: there is a weight difference too...Males much heavier...Kind of different from usual snake "dogma" i.e. Females bigger for reproductive purposes...My opinion...Carl
