"Please note that Indigos are protected species within their range in the United States and kingsnake.com does not advocate the illegal take or possesion, collection, sale or commercialization of these snakes." Why does Kingsnake.com single out this forum with this disclaimer? Not that I disagree with it in any way, but there's no such thing at the Venomous forum for example. There are alot of snakes that are protected within their ranges but only the Indigo gets such a disclaimer. Of course Kingsnake.com does not advocate anything illegal, but there's no disclaimer about basement surgery of venomoids, no guidelines for hybridizing, wild caught vs. captive bred in the classifieds, etc. Why the special header for the Indigo forum? I for one sure support the efforts of those who are raising them, selling them and commercializing the production so that someday maybe even the residents of Florida might be able to enjoy keeping these special snakes.
