This forum has a higher proportion of folks who really want to have a deep understanding of their animals than any other it seems.
I don't know of any in depth studdies of captive indigos. I didn't have the foresight to realize how usefull that type of information could be when I was raising my indies. The only study of wild indigos that I have heard of was the one that Dean Alessandrini was involved with but it lost its funding.
In my limited experience, I have seen a hatchling female couperi reach 6 feet and even produced eggs, all fertile, at under 3 years. I have one that is over 5 y/o and is just barely reaching 6 feet although I suspect she was just not fed enough.
I also had a little dwarf indigo that is 5 y/o and is under 3 feet (uh, non-breeder)

: young Indigo growth (weight and length), looking at variables such as temperature and food intake?
: I am interested in averages, maximums and minimums growth per year. Obviously, genetics will play a large issue, but it can be somewhat controlled for using the same clutch(obviously novel gentic combinations occur within single clutches as well, but am curious none the less.)
: I am also interested in your anecdotal observations of yound Indigo growth(averages, maxes and mins after individual time periods(6 months, 1 year, 2 years, ect.))
: Thanks for reading.
