OK Guys;
In all my years of owning snakes from a minute little southern ringneck up to a 10 ft. Retic & lots in between. This has never happened.
Now my big guy Tango, I'm convinced thrives on human company. Last night was doing the weekly cleanup job in the snake room. Had Tango out sitting on my lap while I took a breather fed my Japanese Koi & just lay back on the couch to watch the fish. Guess I fell into a trance of sorts & drifted off to sleep, woke up an hour later with my big black buddy still coiled up on my chest. Lots of times he'll just patrol the floor of the snake room while I'm cleaning up but I was shocked to see he hadn't budged!!! Maybe I was a practical source of heat for him.... but it's like 75 degrees in my snake room. If that we're one of my ratsnakes, corns or Pine's they'd be HISTORY!!! I'd find those behind the bar or God knows where!!!
Anyone else have anything silimar to this happen?? Oh the few skin problems I was having with him seem to be behind us now, thanx for all your help & advice. He just had an almost complete shed, I only had to take the last 10 to 12" off him. No retained eyecaps either this time!!! He's realy enjoying his bigger hidebox full of peat moss too.
Good luck with the breeding folks, I know it's time of year!!!! I've got a few years to go before I can worry about that ;-)
Cheers
Dean
