I have a beautiful pair of newly maturing Easterns but decided to give them another year before attempting breeding. I have read that Indigos are highly cannibalistic and will fight with any other Indigo they come in contact with. How do you guys breed them? Do you leave them together for short periods or long periods? Do you have to watch them the entire time they are together? Has anyone had bad experiences with two Indigos together? I had a pair of San Diego Mountain Kings that I wanted to breed. I put them together and three days later the male was dead. He was killed by the female. I love my Indigos and want both of them as pets so I am concerned with the dangers of breeding. Also do you recommend feeding non-breeding Indigos through the winter or giving them a brumation period?
Thanks,
Dan
