: Since 1779- these snakes in South America have entered the homes of poor peasants, stealthily moving to the places of babies under the age of 4 months and fooling their Mothers in silence. Then putting the jaws around the Baby in his Cribo- which is Spanish for crib, and swallowing whole the Baby.:)
: : Hi,
: : I have a question. Why are cribos called so?
: : Indigos are called so, because of the color (indigo is a very dark-blue color, like our couperis are sometimes).
: : Thank you in advance.
: : Happy new year to all of you.
: : Juergen
i don't know where you heard that but it's an old wives tale at best. even the biggest cribo in the world couldn't even get it's jaws around a new born much less a 4 month old.
