: I remember reading somthing (somewhere) that cribo meant "chicken eater" because they will raid chicken coops for babies. I have not been able to confirm this though...I looked up the word in Spanish and Potuguese and it doesn't seem to mean anything. It means "to script" or "to write" in Latin (?)
