I find it hard to believe you have not heard of this standard text on NA snakes - there has never been one to equal it(over 1000 pages)my volume is the sixth printing in 1979 -original copyright 1957- "Handbook of Snakes" of the US and Canada- Albert Hazen Wright and Anna Allen Wright- two volumes, Comstock Publishing Associates- a division of Cornell University Press
: : I have researched snakes for 40 years and this book is great on Indigos and the bible on actual catching specimens and research on all snakes still after 40 years since this was published. I bought it in 1980 or maybe 1975 -memory fades- Great stuff about indigos and every other snake. Great pics on indys and how plentiful in range they were at the time in FL and TX.
