: I'm looking to expand from hogs and pines to indigos. I live in NJ that can be real "anal retentive" when it comes to herp laws. I know I will have a problem with easterns, but how about texas indigos?
: And how do texas indigos compare in pricing to easterns? More expensive? less? much less/more?
: I want to buy a pair, and want to check out my options.
: thanks

I have owned Texas, but currently dont work with any. You should have no problem owning one in your state unless they have size laws that prohibit snakes over X amount of feet.
Texas make great captives if captive bred and purchased from a reputable breeder. Wild caught ones are a nightmare, and not worth owning(In my opinion) I see them at the show every so often, I saw a baby at the last show(San Diego IRBA show in calif) Prices fluctuate. I think that doug Taylor works with them, and I would suggest him to anybody. nice guy.
