Many counties in South TX have only ben invaded in the last 10 years. From being in TX off and on since the 50's and living here for 22 years- I have found that it nomally takes the ants 15 to 20 years to impact an area and it's species. This link shows the years of fire ant occupancy- So far I do not think they have had an impact on the Indigo yet since I still see a lot of them -but who knows about the future.
