keith, drymarchon do not brumate like other colubrids. they are winter breeders and remain active all year long excepting for extended cold snaps. they are very tolerant of low temps and when the mercury starts to dip in the fall this triggers the reproductive cycle. and from what i've seen of it w/ mine.....it triggers it fast! lol.
