So you think there is a price fix in to keep less expirenced herpers away ? That sounds pretty bad since money does not make someone a more responsible herper . I used to run a petshop and every day plenty of rich people came in wanted 1500.00 dollar reef tanks with out any knowledge or understanding of what it takes they just wanted one because they look cool. So I hope thats not the reason also keeping them expensive to avoid hybrids is insane if anything it may promote it . Example a person can afford only one Eastern Indigo and he is happy til his buddy buys a cheaper cribo of the opposite sex and they decide to bred them for fun. Maybe there is no answer its just the way it is.
