Well, I have had my babies for almost 2 whole weeks and I couldn't be happier with them. I thought I would pass on some of what I have observed / learned.
1- Shedding- These guys are tough on sheds but incredibly timely. I have a humid hide in each cage with 100% humidity. For the last 2 days of my males shed I have been spraying his enclosure and humidity has been around 50-60% at the low end and up to 75% on the high end. The female shed last week (she required a minor amount of assistance) and one of the males shed today in a complete shed but in pieces. As long as it comes off I guess.
As for timely, each went in to "blue" and completed their shed in 7 days. I wish I could get my Borneo short-tailed Pythons to do that.
2- Feeding- I have NEVER seen a stronger feeding response by ANY snake. Everything that moves in their cages is seen as food. Once they are removed from their cage they are so sweet!!!!! And mother, can they eat!!!! I just ordered 50 pounds of 2-3 day old rabbit pinks. I hope they eat them. LOL
3- Waste- Doug Taylor is right on his web site. Their waste is produced often and really smelly. That is one dump that gets cleaned up as soon as it's found!!!
