Go to your vet and get some chlorhexidrine. It's cheap, it takes very little to totally clean up your snake (I have one bottle which should last me several lifetimes), and it disinfects the wound without the pain that hydrogen peroxide causes. You can also go to your local drug store and get a betadine or iodine solution that you can dilute down that will work like the chlorhexidrine. It isn't quite as benign as chlorhex', but it's pretty safe and like the chlorhex', it's pretty much painless.
Neosporin is good for the first couple of days, but after a few days you should just stick to the chlorhexidrine or betadine washes.
I just dealt with an African Mole Snake (Cribo bites are like Angel Kisses in comparison to AMS bites) with mouth rot and this routine worked wonders.
Good luck,

: I've had the same thing happen. I usually swap with hydrogen peroxide and then put a dap of neosporin on it daily.
