My females are both eating tons. My male has finished eating for the year and is anxiously awaiting his December dates.
My Texas Indigo female has stopped eating for the year. She's waiting for her date to pick her up for their 3 month party.
I've found that with mine, I can't fool them into breeding earlier than December. I have learned to wait until the females are done eating. I already have night time temps occasionally dropping into the mid 60's but the females don't care. I guess they know they have fat to store before winter.
Good to hear yours are locking up. Do you think that early mating like this is productive and produces eggs earlier in the year? Or do your eggs hatch about the same time as everyone else?
I expect eggs to hatch right about July 1st with a mid-late december match up and slow warm up.
