: You need to increase the humidity. During a shed phase, I increase humidity to about 75-80% by using a ultrasonic fogger. I also keep a hide box with moist moss, that way the snake can use it when it needs to. With this technique, my Eastern always shed's in one piece. Also if she doesn't get all the old skin off, you can soak her in very shallow luke warm water to get the last pieces off. Make sure her eyecaps were shed.

Big J, I live in Colorado and the average humidity is about 10%...I use a commericial product called "shed ease" in addition to the previous suggestions and have had excellent results...85 F water and shed ease about 1-2 oz and soak once a day for 15 minutes in the 3-4 days prior to predicted shedding...Works great..I do not have any financial interest in the product by the way..It's available from most herp stores...Good Luck, Carl
