: She is shedding in pieces. I thought I had the humidity and temps right. Maybe not.
: Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
: Also, I think she ate for me for the first today. I have to check her cage more thoroughly, but I am pretty sure she ate a thawed fuzzy.
: Fred,
: I was disappointed I missed you at the IRBA. I had to work the whole weekend. I wanted to talk to you and pick your brain a little and maybe pick up a young male. I also saw your post below. Beautiful snake, sorry I missed it.
Jim,
Shed problems with Indigos are common, unless you reside in the state of florida, with the humidity levels that those folks suffer through, then it is probably non-existent.
I would put a rubbermaid box in the cage with your snake, filled partially with moistened spaghnum mosss, with a hole cut in the side for entrance/exit. Make sure that the hole is much larger than the circumfrence of your indigos body.
Additionally, I would use either paper towels or orchid bark as a substrate and be sure to thouroughly mist the bedding down twice a day.
Make sure that the snake has no mites, as many times incomplete sheds go hand in hand with mite infestations also. E-mail me.
Fred
P.S.
Sorry I missed you at the show also, it was a good one.
