: My adult cages will be 6 footers. So to me a young snake in such a large cage "might" be a slight problem? What is your opinion on that thought? What size are your adult cages?
: Craig
craig, i keep my babies in large food tupperwares at room temp. when they outgrow those, sweater boxes. my large adults are housed in 8' floor tanks that i built. 3 separate levels each. these are also kept at room temp [78*-80*] w/ a nightly drop. i turn on their lamps during the day in the winter only. they are also exposed to a lot of indirect natural light all year long as they are surrounded by windows on 3 sides. we've had some pretty crisp nights here in the northeast already and i've seen 2 of my pairs mating recently. and no, i wouldn't put small snakes in an overly large tank. they'll do better in a more appropriately sized enclosure. hope this helped ya.
