: My Melanurus is at least 8.5 ft. long and the largest of all my other Drymarchon. I have all 6 sub-species and the Mel. has beaten them all in girth and length. The males are almost always much larger. My freind posted a pic a while back on the forum (one large blk. tl.) The largest captive Drymarchon is a D.C. Corais at 11.5 (male) -That I know of- Brad

Am i right then in assuming that the male gets larger than the female?
