: This is not an attack, but rather a legitimate question.
: I was at the Columbus show last weekend and whatched in disbeleif as someone shelled out $650.00 for two juvenile Black Tailed Cribos. All i know about these snakes is that they may be big and they are very closely related to the "Racer" type snakes. All experience i have had with snakes like that have been far from desirable. Please answer, and remeber this is not an attack.
: Thanks again,

Zachary,
I would have to agree with Chuck and the other folks on this forum. I attend lots of reptile shows on the W. Coast every year. I frequently bring the neonates I produce(Easterns) AND their parents. And without a doubt, every time , the snake that causes the most commotion, admiration, awe, fascination is my adult Male Easstern Indigo. People are either repelled by them(Why did they come to a reptile show, if not to see reptiles?) or entranced by them, but nobody ignores them. Drymarchon in general, and Eastern Indigos in particular have a forbodeing presence about them, some have likened them to cobras(in looks), sleek, black, irridescent, and active, they command attention. Lastly they have an intelligence about them that rivals other colubrids and it is amazing to realize that this 8 foot long jewel lives right here in the U.S. (Easterns) They have a pretty loyal following, and are definetly not "Flavor of the month " herps, like so many kings and morphs out there. Well there you have it , my opinion
Fred
