: I've had more than my share of luck and success with baby indigos over the years. My biggest frustration has always been the reluctance of babies to begin feeding. I usually just figure I'll be waiting up to 4 months for the last of the babies to begin eating.
: At the suggestion of a friend, I tried some herring to scent some pinky mice. It was only the second time I had offered prey to the babies and I wasn't really expecting much. EVERY ONE of the babies ate at least one pinky. A couple of them took 2 or 3.
: I've never had an entire clutch of babies eat on the same day, regardless of what type of tricks used to get them to eat.
: For those who have had trouble getting babies to eat, you know how cool it is when all of them are voluntarily eating. I'm so relieved right now knowing that they'll be ready to send to their respective new homes soon.
: So here's a new scent to add to the bag of tricks that for me was nothing short of magic...frozen herring.
