: AFTER YEARS OF TRYING AND MEETING WITH VARIOUS PROBLEMS, I FINALLY MANAGED TO HATCH INDIGOS IN NUMBERS THIS JUNE / 01. ( 24 BABIES OUT OF 33 EGGS) WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS ON INCUBATION TEMPS AND SUBSTRATE. I USED VERMICULITE. ALSO TIPS ON GETTING STUBBORN ANIMALS TO FEED. SOME OF MY HATCHLINGS ARE RED THROATS AND SEEM TO BE THE ONES THAT ARE RELUCTANT TO FEED, EVEN ON HATCLING REDRAT SNAKES. THE BLACK CHINED INDIVIDUALS ARE FEEDING ON PINK MICE. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS LET ME KNOW. ( INCUBATION TEMP USED AT BEGINNING 77.5 -79.5 FOR ABOUT FIRST 5 WEEKS, THEN INCREASED TO 81.5 - 83.2 FOR REMAINING TIME)
Good job as far as feeding goes when I used to breed Easterns I would take a deli cup and fold a piece of paper towel and place that in the bottom
of the deli cup moisten the paper towel put the indigo in the deli cup along with 2-3 very small gold fish , that seemed to work like magic , keep them in there over night. this information was passed on to me from Chuck Elliott, the God of Drymarchon
