: Jasonic,
: chuck elliot is a great guy, and I am proud to count him among my friends. He truly is a good human being.
: As for your snake, I wouldnt feed him to the point of saturation. If you really want maximum growth, feed smaller meals more often, which translates to cleaning more often. A lot of adult size is genetic in makeup. As for the mettalic shiny color that youu ee, you may want to supplement you snakes diet with fish and also chicks when she gets older. Also add a good multi vitamin as this will aid the snakes health also. Finally uv might be a good thing also. E-mail me, we will talk about this at length.

Fred,
Thanks for taking a moment to reply. So shineyness and iridescence is a function of diet, makes sense, no problem. Is it true red throated indigos exibit more of these specular properties?
Also, what kind of fish would you recomend for feeding. I assume store bought gold fish are out of the question. As for a multi vitamin, which is best?
I will certainly feed more often, smaller portions as you recomend. This was my gut feeling initially, but remember reading somewhere on the board about feeding till they stop eating,
so i figured I'd just let her go to town.
finally, what is you email, I'd be into reviewing my setup and strategies with someone in the know.
Many thanks,
jasonic
