If you can get down to Florida, there is a beautiful scenic drive through the Fakahatchee Strand ( we affectionately call it "the white rock road") called the Jane c. somethingorother scenic drive, its located south of Alligator Alley on U.S. 29 just past Copeland, which is a convenience store and a post office, look for the sign to the scenic drive. You travel the entire length of the gravel road through the strand until you come out onto a paved road. Thats what we call"the blocks", its and old abandoned development area. You can begin your search right at the very first right turn. This is the best area for huge indigos I know of. I've seen panther, bear, otter, you name it right there. You can cover alot of ground just driving or get out and walk along any canal out there. You'll hear one before too long moving in the bushes- good luck seeing it! Huge rattlesnakes too! Don't take anything but pictures, and post one! I'd love to read some of the results of all this research going on, check out my post about oil drilling going on in Big Cypress further down the Indigo forum, there's a link to a newspaper article with some map of the panther area just north of "the Blocks", again, choice Indigo habitat.
