I have worked with reptiles the majority of my life from studying caimans in Venezuela to caring for 200+ reptiles at the Cleveland zoo. I maintain some rare species at home. One of my favorite snakes are indigos. In 1990 I purchased a 6 foot male within Ohio, 5 years later I bought a pair of babies from Don Hamper a respectable breeder. As time went on the baby snakes grew and in 1998 my big male died of old age leaving one male and one female. As bad luck would have it the female started losing weight and died due to gastroenteritis leaving only one male. I have a friend (The founder of NOAH and University professor) who used to own an indigo many years ago but the snake died of old age. I donated my remaining snake to him and the University because now instead of kept in my snake room this animal comes in contact with 1000's of people each year and is used to help teach people about the beauty of snakes(there is no better snake to teach than the indigo). The only other desire would be to have this animal breed someday.
Truly,
Paul
