: Man...I leave town and the forum goes crazy! Hey I just got back from Florida, and, this is really exciting:
: A group of about 25 indivuals (most F&W, and DNR people), but including myself and Dennis Giardina (who sometimes contributes to this forum) met for 2 LONG days of planning recovery efforts for the Eastern Indigos.
: Check this...ALL involved were pretty psyched about the website(indigosnakes.com) and plan to contribute!
: It's been a while and my computor has been down (virus) but I'm going to take over the site from James Doyle...I'm even taking a class to learn how to better serve as a webmaster.
: In a week or 2, the official "minutes" of the meeting will be posted on the site...but...at the very least, Eastern Indigo preservation is now back to the forefront and actively being worked by both the fed and state governments.
: I VERY excited about the ideas that came out of the meeting.
: I hope to get as many of you as possible invloved in the recovery effort and to beefing up indigosnakes.com , which we feel will be a key to the education of both the public and all of us !
Dean,
That sounds awesome. Count me in also. I do a lot of educational work with Indigos every year, from kindergarten classes all the way through College biology depts. I probably did no less than 50educational presentations THIS year so far. Let me know in what way I can help you and I will try my hardest to deliver. Congrats and thanks for keeping us informed.
