He was a little shy when I first got him, and didnt eat for about ten days. The first two times, I gave him a single mouse and left the room to leave him be.
Well, the next time I had a plate full of thawed mice and was feeding my various snakes. I fed him a mouse and went across the room (maybe 5 feet away) to pick up another mouse. By the time I got back, the mouse was gone! I was tripping pretty hard, wondering where the mouse went!
When I noticed him doing his jaw realignment thing, it seemed pretty obvious what had happened. I gave him the next mouse, and he ripped it from my tongs. Next, as he was eating the mouse head first, he jammed the back end of the mouse against the side of the cage to help it go down faster!
I think he might have a type 'a' personality.
: I've noticed the same thing. Indigos will QUICKLY devour their prey.....although that alignment thing CAN take some time. My female is smart and efficient...the male is dorky and it takes him a while to get "aligned" sometimes. He likes to bash and party with his food for a while before he eats it!
: Watch those fingers!
