WOW! A forum on my favorite snake! I direct a nature center that features several and we have several off exhibit (in my home). I like to keep my personal eastern indigos in 4' neodesha cages (4' x 2' x 2')...this, I feel, is the smallest size you should use and I am planning on getting some 6' cages soon. I use newspaper as a substrate (a thick layer of it), with a large water bowl (that they soak and defecate often in), a hide box and a large sweater box filled with spaghnum moss which is kept damp. The indigos will spend a lot of time in this humidity box prior to a shed. I heat the cages with Pro Product's Radiant Heat Panels attached to a timer so that it is on a 10/14 cycle. These are truly the most magnificent of all snakes!
: What are the cage designs (size, substrate, heating, etc.) you guys are using to house your Drymarchons?
