TX indigos are highly variable. The subspecies ranges deep into Mexico and, presumably, freely integrates with melanurus in areas of Eastern Mexico.

It's possible that is what you have.
I'll be posting some pics of my TX indigos soon...
2 of my 4 appear to be from the Mexican part of the range
