Since E. Indigo are common enough to be easily poached, but rare enough to prohibit more breeders from breeding them…would microchips work? One problem with permits is that the state does not know what is captive bred or wild caught. So, if microchips (like the ones used in cats and dogs) were used to identify the captive bred snakes could help in reducing the number of poached snakes being sold…and offer a way for breeders to identify their animals as captive bred. This idea is probably silly and won’t work, but I thought I would share it with the forum anyway.
