: Recommend you use a pair of fine tweezers and have someoneELSE hold him securely.Gently pull the edge of the eyecap and pull off. Shed problems and eye caps are generally caused by a lack of ambient humidity in the cage. A common occurence, nothing to freak out about, we've all had them. Take off carefully to prevent damage to lens. Best of Luck.

Matt , I have had this problem many times . I use contact solution ( saline solution ) to loosen the eye cap then I pop it off with my finger . I have heard you can use a Q - tip and gently roll it but make sure the cap is damp . GOOD LUCK
